What are AHA, BHA, and PHA?
Each product in the 30 Days Miracle line combines the trio of well-researched active ingredients that are very well-known in the dermatological world; Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA), Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA), and Poly Hydroxy Acid (PHA).
1. Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA)
AHA is a water-soluble ingredient that is made from natural acids found in food and has been named as the exfoliating superstar. It helps to enhance dull skin and remove dead skin cells by peeling away the current thin surface of your skin so that the new pigmented skin cells may take their place to regenerate. As a result, you'll notice a smoother touch on your skin after using the AHA.
Some people may be afraid to use AHA as it is also known as peeling agents that may increase the sensitivity of skin towards sunlight and disrupt the skin barrier which could lead to sunburn and skin irritation. Whether AHA is harmful to the skin or not, all depends on its concentration.
Examples of AHA include glycolic acid (found in sugar cane), malic acid (found in apples), citric acid (found in citrus fruits), tartaric acid (found in grapes), lactic acid (found in tomato juice and sour milk), and others.
2. Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA)
BHA is an oil-soluble ingredient that is great for removing sebum and pesky oil build-up that can block the pores, dull the skin, and cause random breakouts on the skin. Unlike AHA, it can penetrate deeper into the pores to remove the excess sebum and dead skin cells, leaving the skin clean and clear.
This powerful ingredient is also known for its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects, making it an appropriate ingredient for acne products. People also use BHA to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles on their skin to improve the overall skin texture.
3. Poly Hydroxy Acid (PHA)
PHA is also an oil-soluble ingredient but a milder exfoliator than AHA and BHA. It has a larger molecular structure that is supposed to make them less sensitizing and more gentle as they do not penetrate into the skin as much as AHA.
PHA works by peeling off the top layer of the skin to improve its texture and tone while banishing fine lines. Some studies claim that PHA also hydrates the skin to prevent drying skin after exfoliation and boosts skin regeneration, which could lessen the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.
Once AHA and BHA are done with their job, PHA will come along to protect the skin from any upcoming sebum and oils production. The most common PHA includes lactobionic acid, gluconolactone, and galactose.
Some By Mi AHA BHA PHA 30 Days Miracle Toner is a daily exfoliating toner that suits sensitive skin as it claims as a mild low pH exfoliating toner. This toner promises clearer skin within 30 days by reducing blackheads and whiteheads, brightening the dull skin, and providing hydration to the skin.
This refreshing toner is also known as a non-comedogenic toner that acts as a perfect treatment for acne-prone skin. It gently cleanses the skin by removing all impurities while leaving the skin clean and clear. It has a strong scent of herbal with high-content (10,000 ppm) of tea tree water extract to help treat and improve the healing of redness and angry skin spots.
Comes in a clear see-through plastic bottle with a screw cap, Miracle Toner has a runny and watery texture. You just need to soak a cotton pad with the toner and apply it to the face gently. It absorbs pretty fast into the skin as it is very lightweight.
My skin feels calm immediately after using Some By Mi AHA BHA PHA 30 Days Miracle Toner and it does boost hydration to my skin. I'm still using this toner every night along with my other skincare products but so far I haven't felt any irritation so far.

Comes in a see-through plastic jar with a screw cap, I'm amazed at how lightweight the texture is. When I first saw the cream texture, I thought it would feel heavy or thick when applied to the skin because it looks like green milky cream.
After application, it absorbs really fast and doesn't leave any stickiness or tacky feeling. As for the scent, Miracle Cream also has a herbal kind of smell but is not strong as the toner. So far, I'm already liking this cream as my daily moisturizer.
